PARALYZED VETERANS OF AMERICA MID-SOUTH CHAPTER - an organization that supports research for the cure of spinal cord injuries, provides needed wheelchairs and prosthetic equipment for the disabled (both vets and non-vets),  advocates for the rights of the disabled, and aids in the rehab of spinal cord injured vets through sports and recreation programs;  the local unit runs a thrift store at 3500 Jenny Lind in Ft.
